Shanghai  Museum of Glass
Brand identity / Type design

The strong industrial, functional architectural design of the Shanghai Glassware Factory has been maintained in its transformation into its new role as the Shanghai Museum of Glass.

The custom typeface that serves as a basis for the Museum's visual identity is inspired by the art glass production process where the extending and twisting of the liquid glass creates shapes of high contrast. The new identity also includes the layering of elements connoting to some degree the qualities of glass such as transparency and distortion.
